NICOLAS DUEÑAS
DIT / Media Manager based in Richmond, VA · Available for Travel across the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast.
I support productions with reliable on-set workflow, image-aware DIT support, and verified media management, providing a calm, organized handoff from camera through post. My focus is protecting footage, reducing risk, and keeping camera and production moving without surprises.
I approach DIT work with the mindset that post starts on set. I partner with the camera department and DP to establish clear camera-to-post workflows, monitor image and metadata integrity, and ensure media is captured, backed up, and prepared exactly as production and post expect. Communication, consistency, and early problem-solving are core to how I work.
I prioritize accuracy, organization, and staying calm under pressure so the rest of the crew can focus on the creative. Whether the role leans more DIT or Media Manager depending on scale, my goal is always the same: protect the footage and make the workflow invisible.
I regularly work with new crews and am comfortable stepping into regional productions quickly, maintaining consistent workflows regardless of scale, schedule, or location.
Available for travel across Virginia, Washington DC, North Carolina, Georgia, and surrounding regions.

I use a custom DIT kit that I’ve built and refined over time. It’s designed with intention to be fast, reliable, and flexible, so media stays safe and the workflow stays consistent throughout the day.
I came up through the camera department and still work as a DP on personal and commissioned projects. That experience shapes how I work as a DIT.
I understand camera builds, settings, and the pressure that comes with keeping things moving while protecting data. I also stay closely connected with post, helping bridge the gap between what’s happening on set and what they’ll need downstream. When technical issues come up, whether it’s a camera setting, metadata, or something like a timecode problem, I’m comfortable digging in, isolating the issue, and resolving it quickly. I try to be useful beyond my title, whether that’s helping with a build, catching a small issue early, or being another set of eyes and hands for the DP.
